Asian Blepharoplasty (Asian Eyelid Tuck)

Category: Asian Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Tuck)
Age: 46
Height: 5' 3"
Weight: 160
Description: This patient of Chinese descent complained of excess upper eyelid skin resting on her upper eyelashes, causing eyelid heaviness, irritation of her eyes from her lashes and obstruction in her upper and lateral peripheral vision. Lifting the skin above her eyes partially corrected this problem. She complained that her eyes felt tired all the time. Dr. Lu performed her Asian upper eyelid blepharoplasty (tuck) with ptosis repair (correction of eyelid opening mechanism droop) under local anesthesia with sedation with the "full incision" approach. This involved removing excess skin and fat, crease creation and tucking up the eyelid opening mechanism. She has received favorable comments, feels she looks more "awake" and her eyes feel less tired at the end of the day.

Asian Blepharoplasty (Asian Eyelid Tuck)
Category: Asian Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Tuck)
Age: 43
Height: 5' 4"
Weight: 134
Description: This patient of Korean descent complained of eyelid "heaviness" with excess upper eyelid skin resting on her lashes. She had a poorly defined, low eyelid crease and wished to have a better defined eyelid crease in a higher position blending with her epicanthal folds towards her nose. Dr. Lu performed her upper eyelid blepharoplasty (upper eyelid tuck) under local anesthesia with sedation with the "full incision" approach. This involved removing excess skin and fat with precise and accurate suturing of the crease. This resulted in even, well defined creases and eyes which look more alert and open.
